Lagos, Nigeria – November 24, 2023: Bababode Osunkoya, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Access Holdings Plc, passed away Nov 23, 2023. He was 68 years old.
Osunkoya died after a brief illness on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
Osunkoya was a highly respected business leader and a pioneer in the Nigerian banking industry. He was the Chairman of Access Holdings Plc, one of the largest banks in Africa.
He also served as chairman of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Osunkoya was a passionate advocate for economic development in Nigeria. He was a founding member of the African Development Bank and served as chairman of the bank’s board of governors.
