Obi Cubana Unveils Car Hailing Service to Rival Bolt, Uber and Taxify in Nigeria

Obinna Oyiegbu, popular known as Obi Cubana has established a new car hailing transport service, Enviable Transport in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, with a vision to expand services to other cities like Enugu, and Asaba. This project is aimed at closing an existing gap in city’s transportation.

According to Obi Cubana at a press conference and service launch event to introduce Enviable Transport, he said the service was brought to the people out of concern to bridge the gap in urban transportation. 

In addition, Obi added that this project would boost the economy of the city and create new jobs opportunity. He said drivers will be employed from the city of Port Harcourt to empower and benefit young people and create opportunities.

Port Harcourt has a population of over three million and it’s one of Nigeria’s most remarkable cities and has seen a significant metamorphosis. According to OBI, Enviable Transport will be offering it hailing services by incorporating discipline, honesty, class, security, and high-quality service delivery into the transportation space.

He also made mentioned that the establishment of Enviable Transport is not for competing with other foreign car hailing services. However, Obi believes in homegrown businesses and solutions. “while we are not competing with other foreign car-hailing service providers, we simply want to give Nigerians their car-hailing service because we believe in homegrown businesses and solutions, and we also believe in exporting Nigerian innovation abroad to earn foreign exchange for the country just as I have done with other products and in other sectors.”
